This policy explains how Musafire ("we") collects and uses your personal data when you use this website or book
a tour, in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Questions or requests: hello@example.com.
What we collect
- When you book: your name, email, phone number, country, the tour, date and number of guests, and anything you
choose to tell us, such as a pickup address, flight or train number, dietary requirements or special requests. - When you contact us: your name, email, phone number and your message.
- Payments: the payment status, method and reference from our payment partner. We never receive or store your
full card details. - Website use: technical data needed to run the site securely (such as your IP address in our server logs). If
you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics also collects how you use the site.
Why we use it
- To take and manage your booking, run your tour and contact you about it (confirmation, receipt, reminders,
changes, and a request for a review afterwards). - To answer your messages.
- To keep accounts and meet our legal and tax obligations.
- To keep the website secure and, only with your consent, to understand how visitors use it.
We do not sell your data, and we don't send you marketing unless you have agreed to it.
Who we share it with
Only what each needs to deliver your tour or run our business:
- your guide and driver (name, phone number, pickup and the details of your booking);
- payment partners: Razorpay and PayPal;
- service providers that run our website and messages for us: hosting (Render, servers in Singapore), email
sending, Google (encrypted backups on Google Drive; Google Analytics only with your consent) and WhatsApp when you
message with us;
- authorities, when the law requires it.
Some of these providers store data outside India. They are bound to protect it.
How long we keep it
Booking and payment records are kept for as long as the law requires for accounts and tax (usually up to 8 years).
Messages and other data are deleted when no longer needed.
Cookies
- Essential cookies keep you signed in during checkout and protect forms against misuse. They can't be switched
off. - Your theme choice (light or dark) is stored in your own browser.
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) are used only if you accept them, and you can change your choice any
time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, update or erase your personal data, withdraw consent you have
given, and nominate someone to exercise these rights for you. Email hello@example.com; we reply within 7 working days. Some
records (such as invoices) must be kept by law.
Complaints (Grievance Officer)
Our Grievance Officer is the owner of Musafire, reachable at hello@example.com. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can
complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Children
Bookings are made by adults. We only hold information about children in a booking (such as their number and age
group) as part of the adult's booking.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
